all right, magni. time to 'fess up.
i recently got my latest issue of DEEP, a magazine from pearl jam's ten club (available to members only) and in the letters section was this gem:
Pearl Jam please play Iceland. Won't you rock Iceland? WIll you play Iceland? You will play Iceland. In Iceland, Iceland is spelled like Iceland. The Viking Gods (pronounced Wiking Gods) would enjoy the show. Land, water, fire, ice. Come on, come on, it's evolution baby. Break the ice. Stir a volcano. Calm the sea. Rock. Pearl Jam please rock Iceland. Or just visit. And while you're there? Play a show. Prove it. Do it. Play it. Rock it. Smash it. Crash them. Please play Iceland, Pearl Jam. My typing is poor. My sincerity is true. My friends are real. Show them what I've seen. Just a taste. Just a sight. Just a smell. Rock 'em. It's been said before, can't be said enough please play, rock, visit beautiful Iceland!!!
Enough. R.S.B.
so, i gotta ask--did you write this?
okay, okay, i'm kidding! i know you probably didn't but hey! maybe you know the somebody who did? at any rate, i thought that was the greatest (and funniest) letter ever. apparently, pearl jam liked it too.

| Magni, the concerts were absolutely awesome, I'll be eternally greatful for being invited to such a party!!!!! THANKYOU to you and all your friends! I am also very much looking forward to this saturday to see the concert on TV. I really hope everything will be included, but I guess that somethings will be cut.... Are you taking part in cutting the footage? How do you decide what to include? will there, at least maybe, be a DVD? How did you feel when you were singing creep when the whole audience were singing with you, and Teeen spirit and the the audience went absolutely bazurk???

Ok Magni, I finally have a question. You've just finished a hugely successful set of concerts attended by more than 10,000 of your fans. Your web sites are becoming busier all the time and the Magniacs are voting like crazy to keep you in the top of the MySpace polls. I mean this is a dream, right? Do you ever feel like its unreal? Like you want to ask Eryun to pinch you to prove you are truly awake and living this? But my question is really this, even with all the fame, do you still take out the trash, wash dishes, change diapers and do laundry? ...I mean, a messy diaper is a great big "reality check" if ever there was one, eh? Thanks for continuing to be a real guy who just happens to be enormously talented and internationally famous Love to you and yours... Jenny

| You know, Magni, I think I'll retract the question. I already know the answer. In everything I have seen, everything we all have seen, you are good man. You were the stabilizing, grounding influence in that house last summer on Rockstar. Its not just the television editing which tells us so...your friends said as much over and over at your birthday bash concerts and in interviews. You work hard; You rock hard; You party hard; and you love with all your heart. Thank you. I have seen so many prima donnas in the opera world and on the stage and in "real life'. I confess I have become cynical and skeptical that someone genuine and true could still exist. You continue to show me that it is possible. Jenny

Magni, do you keep in touch with Jason Newstead? How's the old fart doing?

| Howdy Magni, Have you considered getting a manager that could hook you up with a music producer here in the states? I know you're a fierce proud Iceland King. Just curious if there's a possibility of it in the future. Your voice is truly beautiful with a wide range and your potential is crazy.

| Hello Gorgeous, I am hearing rumours that you may join the House Band. Perhaps that is still in the works and not confirmed, but would love to hear about this, which ever way it goes - also, going hand in hand, my query whether you are coming to the States to enhance your career. I'm hoping you put word out soon on your plans (or not) to come States-Side and explore your options. Keep rocking, Iceman, you are The Real Deal, baby.
