Not to get in to a "battle of the U.S. cities" or anything. But NYC one of the nicest places out there? Clearly, Magni has never spent any quality time in Chicago! No offense, Pop! Of course I call Colorado Springs my home now...but still got peeps in the Windy City...and it's always my favorite city to visit. Go Cubbies! Smithers- I didn't know you live in Colorado Springs! I was there for four days last week at a conference at the Broadmoor.(sp?) What a FABULOUS city!!!! I could not believe how beautiful it was with the mountains so close! I think that Magni would have loved your current city!!!!!

Thanks, intrepid...I think so, too! I invited Magni down here (so much more to see in the Springs than the Loveland area...that's farm country!) but I guess you can't do many "side-trips" when you are on tour. Magni is welcome anytime as are any of you Magniacs...even Skalli. The Broadmoor is the premier venue for a conference. Did you go to the Golden Bee for a yard of beer and a sing-a-long? That's always fun. If you come in town again...let me know and we'll get together for a beverage and a mini-tour (if you have time). I know conferences can often be all-consuming.

No, I did not go to the Golden Bee. I didn't hear about it. The only time I was able to go some where other than the Broadmoor was when I had dinner at the Famous, which was excellent. We had receptions in the evenings, and one night one of the U.S. Supreme Court justices spoke to us.(Justice Breyer) The security they had for that was pretty amazing. One of the receptions was at the Penrose House, which was absolutely beautiful. I just can't imagine being able to get up every morning and look at those gorgeous mountains! Wichita Kansas, where I live, is flat as a pancake!!!!
