Well, is it just those of us from the U.S. who are celebrating Labor Day? If so, do those of you from other countries have a day that is celebrated as a holiday to honor the workers of your country? Anyway, Happy Labor Day to all of my fellow Magniacs who work so hard during the year! BigGrin

Happy Labor Day to you too! It's nice to have 3 days off from work at the end of the summer, isn't it? In NC though, we still have a good month or more of summer weather coming our way, but Labor Day is psychologically the end of summer for most of us!

Got to get to the pool today with my grandson as it will be closed after this weekend! Not in Iceland though. Swimming outside all year there!

Happy Labor Day everyone! Yes it's psychologically the end of summer, but it's still summer weather here too, although NICE summer weather - we haven't been sticky in weeks, which is unusual, and barely any rain or cloudiness, California weather without being in California, it's been a very nice second half of summer. Gonna get out this afternoon and enjoy it. Smile

Happy Labour day to you all.

The labour day in Iceland is May 1st, and we're not very happy the years May 1st is on a Saturday or Sunday Blink

I think the labour day should be the first Friday or Monday in May Wink

Well, May 1 is the more proper international workers' day, I think May Day is celebrated most everywhere else, dunno how we got to be the first Monday of September. BigGrin

They should give you the Friday or Monday off if it's on the weekend though! We shifted most of our holidays to Mondays but when something like the 4th of July falls on the weekend, most people here do get the closest weekday off. Cool
