In my excitement over finally booking my plane ticket to Iceland yesterday , I forgot to post that Magni put the audio of two songs from the Queen concert on his (Icelandic) blog - http://hugs.blog.is, in the player on the left. They are the fantastic Save Me and Somebody to Love, they made excellent listening on the bus in...um, I mean they would if they weren't streaming. And yes, I still need to re-post the vids in the video section! I'm bad... Thanks! Listening right now. The nice thing about Icelandic websites, is they are not blocked here at work

| Going to Iceland? I am completely jealous! *sigh* One of these days...I'll make it there! Thanks for the 411 about the Queen songs. They are friggin' fantastic! I NEED them on my iPod! It's just too difficult to balance my PC speakers on my shoulders while carrying my PC down the street. Plus my cable is only 25 ft!

Yes, I am finally going! I'm really looking forward to seeing it, and meeting up with people! Also, the dollar has never been stronger against the krona so it's not as ridiculously expensive as it's been (still expensive though) - there has probably been no better time to go for tourists as right now. However, it is sucking big time for people who actually live there and get paid in krona, everybody's economy is in the crapper!
Alas, the archives won't be open for the Queen tunes, at least not by me.

This brought a HUGE smile to my face!-----> Magni, these sound FAB-u-lous! Thank you for posting them (and to Pop for alerting us)! Never dreamed there'd be good quality recordings of these out there, so I'm excited! If you've got any more...well, a girl can dream, can't she?
Pop, congrats on booking your ticket!! You're actually going to the homeland - Yay! And ditto what Smithers said. I am guh-reen, girl. Wish I were going, too. Sigh.
Also, good catch on "Mother's Little Helper"! I don't know how you found it, but man am I glad you did!

I know there is more somewhere...whether we'll ever get to hear (purchase) them is another story!
I found the video the same way we always find videos , just that it had a kind of non-descript title...but I remembered that he did do the Stones thing so I clicked and there he was...
Homeland? My homeland is about 1600 miles SE of here, not 2500 miles NE. I will enjoy it nonetheless! BTW, fares dropped a good notch today...not so much that I need to kick myself for not waiting another week (well a little ) but it dipped below $500 on a bunch of dates...

Maybe the holy land is a better word? You're making the pilgrimage!
Stop tempting me, Pop! I do hope to get there someday....
