I have been very remiss in not wishing both Pittsue and Pop happy birthday! I hope that you each had a great one! End of year stuff at work, and with my son home from college, along with the holidays have kept me from much "fun" computer time, so I do apologize!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! Ahhh, another year older... I was in Florida with the family yesterday at the end of my holiday trip, had a nice dinner and a little champagne. Despite it (or perhaps because it's!)being New Year's Eve, my birthdays tend to be low-key. :) I was down in Florida for 10 days...it was fantastic weather down there the entire time, sunny every day and between 78 and 83 degrees, went to the beach twice, water temp in the Gulf was a relaxing 70 degrees. :D Just got back home where it's upper 20's right now, although it doesn't feel THAT cold. :)

Anyway, no more flying for awhile now...at least until I see where U2 is gonna tour this year ;), although I'm going away for a couple of nights again on Sunday, danged work retreat. But after that, really no travel for awhile.

Thanks again...and HAPPY NEW YEAR! :) Although I'm not holding out a lot of hope that we will get a live appearance on this side in 2009, here's hoping for some great Magni moments in the New Year! And the year is getting off to a good start as I will get to meet yet another Magniac on Saturday. :)

We had flurries yesterday, and again today. Nothing really sticking but it is windy here also!

It was 48-50 and didn't snow here today, but boy was that wind a-blowin'! I went to run errands for a couple of hours in the afternoon and my hair was every which way when I got home. :D I reckon the rain yesterday (albeit warm) and cold wind today will help me get acclimated to Reykjavik next week. :D

I'm having a small dinner tonight but I guess I have to look at the others with envy eating my gourmet food since I will only be able to drink fluids. I had a wisdom tooth taken out by surgery last week and my jaw is so swollen that I can hardly open my mouth.:w00t: I guess I will just be drinking more of my red wine instead:cool:
