Spectra just updated again to say "New album by Magni is set for release this summer."

How new, who knows. I don't know how I can tell, but this time frame feels more definitive. :) I don't know why I just don't flat out ask him these things, maybe he'll say, maybe he won't. ;)

The reason why AMS is taking a break in the New Year is because Magni and Saevar both have to get surgery - Magni for his ongoing acid reflux problem, and Saevar is getting a hip replacement!

Hey there Pop. You are unbelievable.:w00t: I just read that article today and I think it's amazing that you were able to understand why they are taking a break..... Your understanding of Icelandic is getting amazingly good;)

Well my Icelandic is still not that good...however now that Google Translate does Icelandic WAY better than what was out there before, plus my own special gift ;), I get nearly everything now. :) I suppose that news still doesn't preclude what Spectra says since if it was like last time Magni will need two months max to recover, while it sounds like Saevar will be out of commission for quite awhile beyond that, so Magni will still have a good chunk of time to do some things on his own. I hope anyway. :)

I just read AMS' FB status update, seems like the album actually won't hit anywhere til the weekend and be widespread next week...they better put it up on Tonlist! So I don't know how that translated to a release date of today. :hehe: Magni was up north today and will definitely be in the AM as well so there will be no radio for him, at least in studio, til at least the weekend, more likely next week I suppose...

BS and Lolinna- Thanks so much! I know I am not objective, but Magni has such a superior voice compared to that of the Bad Company singer. Magni's is so much more expressive, and musical. :D

Been a bit slow the past couple of days...but thanks for all the heads up Lolinna! Magni sounded good, although I'm with Bonny, would have been even better if it was all the original English! So what was the song saying in Icelandic then? Sounds like Heimir used the "sounds like" method, which I favor. :hehe:

Well, he is not soon, alas...so yes, I definitely agree! Or if sticking a studio version song up is problematic, then maybe a video performance of such a song, a preview as it were - grab guitar, find a room, find somebody with a decent camera and do it! Lo-fi can work. :) Or a video message or something, anything... I think we are getting to a critical point where we need a little something aimed at this/the other side of the river to keep us at a low simmer...

Braedslan will be on the radio again - it's July 25th. All Icelandic, and I think all Icelandic-singing, artists this time. It doesn't seem like Magni is going to be singing at this at all (during the actual show that is), then again he's running the show so he can do what he wants when the time comes. :hehe:[/quote]

I'm not gonna lie - I'm disappointed he's not scheduled to appear. I've been waiting for this all year, not only 'cuz it's the coolest thing ever that he organizes it, but he really shines in it, and it's been so long since we've heard him perform.... Not been in touch with either of them in a long time... I think Jon's been on sporadically but I've not seen Magni Rocks anywhere myself since the beginning of the year, especially odd during March Madness! Hope all is OK.
