After listening to the CD about 100 times (ok maybe it's only 50), my two favorite tracks so far are "If I Promised You The World" and "Mistake". Of course I do love the whole CD, but those two just stand out for me. Just sharing. :)

Not to worry though! ;) I have to let Magni simmer a little and absorb everything before I can get it out. :) I did, however, already leave him a love note about Tear Us Apart. :D

Just heard a short interview with Magni on the radiostation Bylgjan, hopefully there will be a link later. Itunes/Snowcap should be up any day now. He also said that the concert on Thursday is for invited only ( boðsmidi..) :blink:

02...Great song! Although sad. I felt the pain...now I need a hug!
03...Loved it! What a sweet song! Magni and Eyrún really captured the innocence, simplicity and pure joy of life from their son's perspective.
04...Beautiful...sad...haunting...
05...A rockin' little ode to a relationship going bad..who hasn't felt like this! You nailed it, Magni!
06...Great tune! You need a 12-step program to get out of this toxic relationship. Magni must have read my journal from 1998.
07...Gorgeous melody. Bittersweet lyrics. Magni really puts his feelings out there. I think we can all relate.
08...OMG! So beautiful! My fav!
09...Good tune...bummer lyrics...no happy ending here.
10...Kick ***! Nobody does it better! (sorry Radiohead!)
11...Powerful song. Powerful lyrics.
12...Phew! Yet another beautifully written song, but the recurring theme of bad relationships, being alone, breaking up...is starting to depress me!
13...Amazing! I will NEVER get tired of listening to Magni cover this song. Probably could have trimmed-back some of the clapping, cheering at the end of the song. Just a little developmental feedback from smithers.

Hello everyone.
I received the CD in the mail today. Special thanks to Bonny for all the work she did to get the CD to me in such a short amount of time.Ok here's the tracks that stood out for me in this order.
1. 'Addicted' WOW! Put the headphones on and play it full blast. It starts off gentle goes up, up, and up and then brings you back down.I think 'Addicted' will be great in a concert with two minutes of a guitar solo at 2:30 into song.

2.'Play With Me' Love the Lyrics

3.'See You Tonight' Just Magni and his Guitar. You know, it works.

4.'Mistake' This one follows 'Addicted' and kept me still on a high.

5.'You say' Powerful! I remember this one prior to the 'Rockstar' show.

6.'Tear Us Apart' Great vocals. Love the piano also.

7.'If I Promised You The World' This one is starting to grow on me.

It wouldn't be fair for me to place the next two in the list because like Magni they are two of my all time favorites.

'Creep' There's probably a hand full of singers who could sing this acoustically and do it justice. Just a great performance!

'Dolphins Cry' Another GREAT acoustic performance. I bet Magni added this one because of the great participation from his fans.Good work!

Well to sum it up I guess you all know I'm addicted to 'Addicted":cool:

Hi Everyone,

There is no way to top Lollina's review of this CD, but I have to agree that I loved it from beginning to end. Thanks to everyone who has reviewed the CD already, but what can I add? Obviously, we are all somewhat biased being Magniacs already, but this CD is really great. The only problem is that it doesn't go on forever. I know I'm going to be listening to it over, and over, and over again.

The song that gave me goosebumps all over and always does is ..... CREEP. I'm so thankful that Magni was voted in the bottom three that week, or we may have never heard him sing this song.

Thank you Magni for a truly Magni-ficent CD! It is just soooo good!

Again thank you to Bonny' for going to all the trouble to make sure that those of us outside of Iceland could have our own copy of the CD and for arranging for Magni to autograph each copy. And, thank you to Magni for taking the time to autograph each one. We all appreciate it!

I've done one listen through. I'm not going to do a song by song review, since Lolinna pretty much said everything I would have said....and did it better LOL. For example, I'm thinking Tear Us Apart is Magical, Lolinna says that and a lot more.

I will say, his voice and lyrics are fantastic. He manages to draw you in and see a part of his soul. It's beautiful. It also showcases his talent on the guitar, what can I say.

I think my favorites so far are Play with Me, Addicted, Mistake, and Tear Us Apart. I'll try and write something more detailed after listening again.

None in the RTP (Triangle) area-thank goodness! [/quote]I think it's more of a Govt/UNION thing lol. The Unions are very strong here for major industry and government jobs.

The Postal Outlets in retail stores are open and mail picked up but no mail delivered expect special mail. The main post office is closed on Saturdays. All Govt. stuff is closed excpet the liquor stores. Some banks are closed if as those locations they find are busier during the week but most have short hours on Saturday, maybe 9 to 12. Not necessarily! Probably comes in via Icelandair scheduled...which are a few cities. Blah! Also we might be a bit backlogged here because of the bad weather Wednesday and yesterday. I've made so many great new friends through two seperate Bald Rockers and both were on Music Shows lol. I do hope it comes before the road trip we are making to Vancouver for the Daughtry concert which is at the end of August as my girl friend wants to here the Magni CD too blasting on the car stereo as we drive to the ferry lol. Oh yes, I heard about that one, so sad! It's a miracle this one didn't produce more damage or injuries than it did, it was the most powerful one on record here (still pales to what y'all get out in elsewhere in the country).

Anyway, getting back to the CD, I reckon due to location that I will get it first, or be one of the first, but you can never tell with the postal service! Day one of the mail vigil brought no joy though. :crying: I bet it will come the same day it's up on iTunes. :hehe: I'm dyin' here, dyin'! :crazy:

Pop- Now you know what it is like to live in Kansas! We have loads of tornadoes every year. This year one totally destroyed an entire Kansas town. One of my clients lost her home she was living in, and the new home that she was just getting ready to move into. I'm glad you weren't hurt! :)

I didn't even know anything happened until I walked out of my building to go to work (which took four hours to get to yesterday :crazy: ) and found I could barely get out because of a major chunk of tree blocking the way...

Lolinna and BS, still amazed that you could hold on and not rush out and get the CD as soon as it was out in the stores :hehe:!

I love reading the reviews and looking forward to see some more as people will be getting their CDs. I have finally gotten the album copied to my Ipod and listening with headphones I notice more details, like the funky guitar riffs in "Words unspoken", piano on "Play with me" and "Tear us apart", awesome hammond on "You say".

Magni, congratulations to you and the guys putting the album together! Awesome job!!

I really really love this album and the only thing I miss now is to have it signed... ;)

Lolinna! Thanks!! You took a lot of time and effort into this review. Of course I expected that you would be very insightful and thoughtful about each song. You're the best.
I'm so excited to be getting this CD. It has been a year waiting for Magni to sing some originals to us in English and I feel so fortunate that he was able to go out of his comfortable Icelandic language and put his emotions and feelings into English...how difficult that must be. I have no idea how you all are able to communicate so well in a language that is not your 1st one. It baffles me continuously. I am forever in awe!
