Boy, that was a lot of lead-up to a 45 minute-ish program.  That was interesting to watch, watching that I was thinking that Iceland the country (or maybe just Reykjavik) is the biggest small town in the world.  Poor guys though don't get a second to breathe off the plane...they did that with Magni too when he got back from RSSN, they should give them a day or two to breathe before the big to-do, Michael Phelps won't have his parade in Baltimore for another month!  I think the reason why they did this so soon is most of the guys are playing abroad, Óli Stef in Spain, Guðjón Valur in Germany and so on, and they weren't going to come home to Iceland at first but did it by a request. So this was in fact the only time available.

I'm watching the replay now...the plane is still flying around - that is the longest plane landing sequence I've ever seen...what was up with that fly-by?  That didn't make me very confident about Icelandair. You don't have to worrie, this was supposed to be like that, they took a circle around Reykjavík and one fly-by over the airfield. Everything under control  The pilot once was a golie in the national handball team, he was in the team when they ended in fourth place on the Olympics in Sidney (I think).

| The pictures were just fabulous! I actually got very emotional while looking at them. I am so proud of "your guys!" Another AMAZING Icelandic accomplishment!!

| What fun photos! I loved the one where the little boy was holding his Dad's medal. (I guess it's his Dad. I can't read Icelandic!) Congratulations, Iceland!

| Oh that is very cool!!!! Great video!!! I hope they do something here for the Canada 8 Rowing Team (Gold) and the other Rowers (I think one silver and two bronze). Now it is hard to find something to watch on TV!!! Im still on the let down after the Olympics. Well will have lots of coverage for the Winter Olympics as it is here in BC in Feb. 2010!!!! So any Icelanders competing in the Winter Olympics!!!
